Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience. 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. What You’ll Work On Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded firmware written in C and/or C++ Maintain and improve the Arduino codebase Contribute to other open-source projects like Zephyr RTOS Prototype a product solution from research to production Create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for designs, code, and test procedures Work effectively with cross-functional teams including hardware, application software, Quality Assurance, and product management to define requirements, integrate components, and deliver high-quality products. Represent Arduino at internal / external events and share our spirit with the developers community What You Bring Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent field Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded systems Experience with JTAG/SWD and other debugging tools Experience of Hardware debugging Extensive experience with hardware interfaces and protocols (e.G., I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet, CAN, GPIO) Knowledge of IoT Protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, TCP, UDP, AMQP) Broad knowledge of git flows Fluent in English both verbal and written is mandatory Bonus Points Knowledge of the Arduino ecosystem Experience with Golang and/or Python If you’re excited about this role or about our company but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined above, we strongly encourage you to apply anyways.
