Job Description Category management function defines and manages the product offering, positioning, and pricing across the product life cycle of a portfolio, guiding sales teams on product-related decisions. Acts as lead expert in competition product knowledge, communicates strategies to sales force, and defines advertising and demand‑generation priorities. Sales‑compensated role with quota overlay. Responsibilities Deep understanding of the category product, business management, and sales challenges. Contribute to the definition of the category business plan. Establish and maintain senior‑level relationships with the sales force and partners. Hold product line and quota responsibility for a significant product range or specific customer segment. Provide functional leadership in market analysis, marketing engagement, and sales‑force communication. Lead engagement with one or more sales teams and partner with external IT vendors. Education and Experience Required University or bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Finance; advanced degree or MBA preferred. +5 years of professional experience in Marketing, Sales, or Business Planning. Expertise in consumer and/or commercial partner management; end‑user account management is an alternative. Knowledge and Skills IT industry knowledge. Business planning and multidimensional financial modeling skills. Strong communication skills with senior internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of promotional marketing processes. Negotiation skills and ability to articulate product value proposition. Leadership and cross‑functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing).
