NXP’s Industrial & IoT Edge solutions range from the smallest MCUs to very high-performance processors to provide real-time insights and efficient automation when performance matters most. NXP’s advanced portfolio lets developers explore innovative ideas with confidence, enabling applications across the autonomous home, industrial automation, and personal electronics. NXP is building new teams in Catania to create high impact microcontrollers (MCU) as part of NXP’s intelligent AI at the Edge. The team includes engineers from analog to SOC digital design, covering design, architecture, verification, DfT, and physical design.Role SummaryDefine, architect, and develop DC‑DC systems for integration in MCU products and MCU-based systems. System simulation of DC‑DC systems. Quantify block‑level specifications for implementation and assess implementation impairments in overall system performance. Ensure architecture and implementation meet system requirements both pre‑ and post‑silicon.ResponsibilitiesWork with system architects and marketing to develop power solutions for MCU-based products.Define innovative DC‑DC and switcher architectures including buck, buck‑boost, boost, and potentially capacitive converters.Simulate DC‑DC, switcher architectures with digital control and analog impairments using simulators such as MATLAB, Simplis or equivalents.Perform block‑level analog design when required; oversee layout, review, and sign‑off.Collaborate with analog and digital designers to implement architecture and ensure requirements are met before and after tape‑out.Mentor and develop junior engineers.QualificationsMaster’s degree in electronic engineering (required).10+ years of product development experience, including switch‑mode power supplies design and architecture.Strong and effective communication and teamwork skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
