As a Senior Software Engineer, you lead the design, implementation, and verification of software components across a wide range of applications, from driver control and algorithm development to UI and human-machine interfaces. You not only understand how to write high-quality software, but also how to optimize the development ecosystem around it. By sharing your expertise and mentoring junior engineers, you stimulate technical excellence and continuously raise our software standards. Software Engineering (Core of the Role) Design, implement, and verify subsystems, modules, and components within embedded systems and middleware environments Write efficient, maintainable, real-time code in C++ and C Integrate software into complex hardware and software systems Apply Object-Oriented Programming, UML, unit testing, and modern design principles DevOps & Automation Initiate and implement improvements in the team’s DevOps way of working Set up, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines (build, test, release) Automate build, test, and deployment processes to minimize manual work and errors (Python) Support and guide colleagues in DevOps principles and practices (knowledge sharing and coaching) Strategic projects in complex high-tech environments Collaboration with senior engineers and domain experts Access to advanced training through our TOPIC Academy Permanent contract ~ An all-in employment package between €57,000 and €76,500 (including net expense allowance, mobility package, 13th-month bonus, and holiday allowance). Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in (Technical) Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or similar Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer in a high-tech or embedded environment Strong programming skills in C++ and C, plus knowledge of Python Experience with OOP, unit testing, Agile methodologies, and software design principles Experience with or a strong affinity for DevOps and CI/CD Since 1996 we have been developing (embedded) systems that are essential for products manufactured by renowned high-tech companies around the world.
