Safilo is now looking for a Trade/Customer Marketing Intern to join the Central/Eastern Europe (CEE) organization with direct report to the Regional Senior Trade Marketing Manager CEE & Baltics. This is an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a candidate with a passion for supporting business growth through trade/customer marketing executions. The mission of the role is to promote key customers’ business development with a “win-win” approach, through specific trade marketing plans by combining Portfolio priorities with Commercial targets, translating global strategies into the assigned sales channel and ensuring their prompt execution within the countries. The successful candidate will be based in Padova. Job Description Understanding customer needs, promoting specific in-store and online initiatives, leveraging and coordinating with regional and global competence centres (i.e. Brand, PR and Trade teams, Interior designers, Customer Care); Cooperating with the commercial team to define business “building blocks” by Business area, Channel and Key customers, leveraging and encouraging customers on PR activities, brand digital activations, point of sale visibility, co-op advertising, trade fairs and road shows; Executing customer marketing activities respecting the brand guidelines and establishing direct and close connections with main independent customers – also through direct in-store visits; Monitoring plan execution, related performances and evaluating effectiveness, including regular budget tracking of assigned marketing activities; Monitoring and analysing competitors’ activities and always sharing channel/customer best practices; Leading and controlling regional POP distribution, cases stock and delivery, maintaining stock overview; Creating sales supporting materials, brand & collection materials, communication tools to sales representatives; Executing general administration & customer communication activities (i.e. SAP purchasing process, ADV layouts etc); Requirements Degree in business-related fields with proven experience in Trade/Customer Marketing, Category Management, Business Development in retail environment; Strong commercial approach and ability to create synergies thanks to an outstanding attitude on relations building based on trust and commitment; Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment, leveraging and building on differences; Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers based on trust; Project management skills and capability to lead and contribute to multi-functional teams; Open minded and passionate team player.
