We’re looking for a TCU Vehicle Line Release Engineer (Telematics & Connected Services) to join a high-performing Connectivity organisation within a major global automotive OEM. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, electrical architecture, validation, supplier management, and program execution — owning the end-to-end delivery and release of Telematic Control Unit software across multiple vehicle lines and Connected Services programs, from development through to vehicle launch and beyond. Engagement detail s Location: Turin, Ita lyContract type: Permanent or freelan ceStart date: AS APWork model: Hybr idBenefits: Competitive package; cross-functional, high-visibility role within a major connected vehicle program me Responsibilit ies Own TCU readiness across assigned vehicle lines and launch program mes.Coordinate the development, testing, and release of TCU software components in line with vehicle milestones and connected services roadm aps.Ensure alignment between TCU, backend systems, data pipelines, subscriptions, OTA flows, and mobile app interfa ces.Track software and hardware maturity across development, validation, and launch pha ses.Manage part-number releases and ensure full traceability for SOP milesto nes.Lead supplier follow-up, requirement clarification, technical reviews, and defect resolut ion.Coordinate with EE Architecture, validation, integration, quality, manufacturing, and plant te ams.Support launch-gating activities, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and crisis resolut ion.Support production plants with EOL procedures, diagnostics, installation guidelines, and post-launch improveme nts.Collect and analyse logs from testing and plant environments, performing first-level tri age.Maintain clear product backlog prioritisation and contribute to process and tooling improveme nts. Qualifica tions Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.3+ years of experience in automotive electrical architecture, connected systems, telematics, or software-based product engine ering.Good understanding of automotive connectivity architectures and TCU/telematics sy stems.Familiarity with CAN bus and Eth ernet.Understanding of cloud systems, connected services, and vehicle software ecosy stems.Knowledge of software development lifecycles and CI/CD work flows.Experience with requirements management and change-control proc esses.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication s kills.Experience with TCU integration, Connected Services, or OTA systems is a strong plus.Familiarity with GitHub-based development pipelines is advanta geous.Understanding of PDP, DAC, CVVR, SRR, part-number creation, and automotive SOP cycles is a plus.Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, RTC, and PLM tools is benef icial.Exposure to AI-assisted tools for defect triage, code review, or process efficiency is a plus.
