Field Service Engineer (FSE) – Italy This position is an exceptional opportunity to join Varian and the Varian Service team. The role is based in Piedmont or Western Milan (Novara area if possible) and involves delivering high‑quality onsite service to Varian’s customers in the Italian region. Responsibilities Perform electrical, mechanical and software troubleshooting to determine problems in radiotherapy equipment. Provide in‑hospital and remote customer support of radiotherapy accelerators. Service, support and repair accelerator equipment according to service instructions, manuals and technical bulletins. Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts and modify equipment as required. Accountable for administrative duties such as filling timesheets, preparing expense and service reports and following the required training courses. Travel on site represents 50% of the time. Skills & Requirements Fluent in Italian with a good level in English. 2–3 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer working on customer sites. 2–3 years of knowledge and professional experience with electronic and electro‑mechanical engineering, test equipment used for verification/checkout and calibration of electronic equipment. Technical education such as secondary school ITIS/IPSIA and/or electronic/biomedical engineering. Home‑based position but requires onsite travel.
