Position SummaryThe “Engineer, Mechatronics V&V” plays a key operational role in the company’s Rovereto Technology Center laboratory, which represents a strategic asset for technology development, verification, and validation. The position combines hands-on laboratory testing with mechanical design responsibilities, including the development of prototype components and custom test bench fixtures using CAD tools. The engineer manages verification and validation activities end-to-end, from Test Request review and test definition to setup implementation, execution, data analysis, and reporting. In addition to technical testing responsibilities, the role actively contributes to the effective day-to-day management of the laboratory, supporting equipment logistics, workspace organization, 5S implementation, and HSE compliance. Operating within a highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team, the position involves frequent interaction with multiple company functions and organizational levels, including leadership, and directly supports informed decision-making throughout the product development lifecycle.Main ResponsibilitesSupport and independently manage verification and validation activities for mechanical, hydraulic and mechatronic components within the Technology Center laboratoryReview and assess Test Requests, ensuring clarity, technical feasibility, and alignment with project requirementsDefine test concepts, methodologies, and procedures, including objectives, test conditions, and acceptance criteriaDesign mechanical components, prototypes, and custom test bench fixtures using CAD tools, ensuring manufacturability and alignment with workshop capabilitiesImplement and assemble laboratory test setups, coordinating with internal workshops and relevant stakeholders as neededExecute laboratory tests in compliance with defined procedures, safety rules, and quality standardsCollect, process, and analyze test data using appropriate data analysis toolsPrepare clear, structured, and technically sound test reports, submitting results for review and approval to the Lab ManagerPlay a key operational role in the correct day-to-day management of the laboratory, including equipment logistics, workspace organization, and 5S implementationActively contribute to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance, ensuring safe working conditions and adherence to applicable procedures and regulationsCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.G.
