Digital Intern – Italy (Milan) The Digital Intern is part of the Data Innovation team within the Digital function, reporting to the Data Innovation Lead based in London. You will work closely daily with the Managing Director in Italy and the Italian team in Milan, serving as the first point of contact for colleagues who use AI tools to streamline their work. Responsibilities • Listen to AI‑related requests from the Italian team, understand the underlying problem, and propose realistic, scoped solutions. • Help the business adopt tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and Palantir Foundry, building or configuring small, hands‑on solutions such as prompts, Claude skills, Foundry apps, or Copilot agents. • Support AI deployment on pre‑defined pilot projects – a Quality Document Analyzer, a Service Buyer, and an Engineering Review tool – ensuring compliance with Sonnedix and Italian regulations. • Demonstrate built solutions to colleagues so they can maintain and iterate on them independently. • Keep a simple log of every request and outcome so the Data Innovation team can identify patterns and learn what kinds of AI requests are most tractable. • Escalate requests that exceed a quick‑win scope, support the team in shaping targeted AI enablement across Italy and the wider business, and build trust in AI by explaining technical concepts in plain language to non‑technical audiences. Desired Skills & Qualifications Curiosity about AI tools and a foundational understanding of what Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and similar large language models can and cannot do. Strong written and spoken communication skills in Italian and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts in plain language. Comfort with ambiguity and a pragmatic, hands‑on approach – preferring small scoped wins over ambitious half‑finished projects. Exposure to no‑code or low‑code platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Palantir Foundry, or similar productivity and automation tools. Foundational technical literacy – a computer science background is welcome but not required. We use English as our business language – please submit your CV in English. Studies show that many qualified candidates hesitate to apply unless they meet every requirement. If this role excites you, but you don’t meet every single qualification, we still encourage you to apply. We value diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences that contribute to a stronger team.
