I work in several areas of food law and supply chain. We can summarize our activities as: strategic and regulatory consulting, law interpretation, training, teaching, publishing, horizon scanning and newsletters, crisis management, supply chain issues, including IT infrastructures, traceability, and breaking data silos. The market is behaving quite strangely, and despite running a business for nearly 15 years (growing organically at an average 40% year), I have never seen such volatility, even knowing quite well the nature of consulting. We hired mostly permanently and created a working environment where quality of life, ideas, and diversity are respected, recognizing that a good quality of life is essential to have great working performance. Most companies complain that they do not find workers, but most of them do not understand the new generations and do not deserve applications: we receive hundreds. Hiring is key to growth for small companies: hiring the wrong person is the most costly error you can make. It can harm your workflow, the harmony of your team, and your clients. Traditional hiring strategies based on ticking boxes or “fake-it-until-you-make-it” CVs never worked for me. Therefore, we are now trying a different hiring strategy to find and, in the meantime, across the world (we provide service in more than 90 countries) and . Knowledge is in the grasp of everybody; the tools to get it have never been so many, and we have unmatched know-how and network.
