Job Purpose You will develop new and innovative technologies and prototype of tires (Champions) for commercial trucks applications in cooperation with Tires Case/Crown materials and pattern area, for BSEMEA next generations products in a Cross Functional Team with other TCE functions as well as within West & Global working environment, leveraging on Design Thinking and Virtual development tools and methodology. Responsibilities Develop new mold and construction by combination of NTs, jointly with NT development functions (in EMEA and in other poles) to meet Next Gen. TBR products targets (both Rep and OE applications) Identify new technologies (and their combinations) potential impacts on tire performances and define through DRBFM approach, lean and robust control plan for its validation to ensure future products robustness. Work cross-functionally within R&D and business units and other technical poles engaging teams on customer driven journeys to design with a BOSS driven focus Prepare appropriate documentation for projects and participate in technical meetings with stakeholders. Use design thinking and virtual development tools to ensure robust and lean development. Cooperate with all R&D functions in the EMEA Technical Center as well as the technical centers in Japan and US, and in other quality functions, manufacturing and product planning functions Interact with head‑quarter sales and marketing teams Qualifications & Experience Required Education Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Materials Engineering and similar. Experience Previous experience in technical roles within tire and materials design appreciated. Technical Skills Learning and change agility Computer: MS Office, strong background in CREO, understanding/experience of FEM methodology preferably Abaqus and Hypermesh. Languages Fluency in written and spoken English Soft / Behavioral Skills Ownership and end-to-end vision to investigate risks and engage all the necessary functions. Robust planning and adaptability to adjust the approach to the assigned programs. Innovation oriented mindset both in terms of technical solutions for products and for working process enhancement. Analytical skill, logic thinking, problem solving and strong mechanism understanding mindset.
