The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Tunnel Engineer to join our fast-growing Tunnelling team, in our Milan Office, who will deliver local and global projects including the HS2 project in UK, Metro Projects in Australia, California and Denmark, mining projects for energy infrastructures, expert advice to Italian and Global Clients and Contractors for infrastructures projects. Responsibilities Take ownership of design packages. Work directly with clients and other professionals. Co‑coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines. Produce project related correspondence and reports. Manage younger members of the team and support their development. Provide design calculations and support preparation and review of drawings. Qualifications BEng in Civil Engineering or a BSc in Geological Sciences supplemented by an MSc in Engineering Geology/Geotechnical Engineering/Soil Mechanics or Structural Engineering. Working knowledge of industry standard software for tunnelling, geotechnical and structural design. Previous geotechnical and tunnelling design experience from 5 to 10 years. Good experience in numerical analysis. Strong engineering skills and knowledge. Proven success in contributing to a team‑oriented environment. Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). Publication in journals and conferences. Fluency in written and spoken Italian and English.
