You will be part of the Product Line “Brakes Quality”, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams. How will you make a difference? As a Senior Product Quality Engineer – Electronics you will play a critical role in ensuring the robustness, reliability, and safety of electronic systems used in railway braking applications. You will identify failure mechanisms, propose corrective actions, and validate technical solutions. What will your typical day look like? Perform advanced troubleshooting of electronic hardware and embedded software failures in braking and safety systems. Analyze field returns, test-bench results, and laboratory findings to identify and characterize hardware and software malfunctions. Lead and document root cause analyses, defining corrective and preventive actions to address systemic issues. Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineering teams to support debugging, product enhancements, and design improvements. Execute diagnostic tests using bench setups, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) environments, and stress‑testing equipment. Ensure compliance with railway functional safety and certification requirements by providing technical documentation and evidence for audits. Prepare detailed technical reports and support knowledge transfer to production, quality, and field service teams. Engage with key stakeholders including Product Managers, Quality leadership, Engineering, and Project teams to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress updates. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field or equivalent experience. +10 years of experience in electronic engineering with a strong emphasis on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and systems analysis. Experience in equipping test benches, creating test circuits, programming in C++. Experience with test instrumentation, such as Oscilloscopes and Testers. Proficiency in English and Italian. Experience with structured methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, and fault tree analysis is considered a plus. Familiarity with railway safety and compliance standards (EN 50126 / EN 50128 / EN 50129) is considered a plus. Availability to travel internationally. What do we offer?
