Commission controls systems on-site, including electrical and PLC software commissioning, and provide support to system test activities and training for the end user. Produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100. Interpret electrical schematics and design input information. Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive. Commission safety related parts of the controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc. Qualifications & Experience Studies related to Electrical/Controls Engineering. Desirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline. Experience in a similar role. Good understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning software. Hands‑on experience with electrical commissioning. Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings. Good understanding of bus systems. Understanding of distributed control systems desirable but not essential. Understanding of automated warehouse desirable but not essential. Ability to travel to customer sites for up to 80% of the time, both domestically and internationally. Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role. Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering.
