We are seeking an RF Systems Engineer to support the development of a phased array radar payload for in-orbit Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) and Close Proximity Operations (CPO) applications. The candidate will contribute to system-level design, analysis, and integration of the radar payload within a satellite platform. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the design and analysis of phased array radar systems, including link budget, sensitivity, and noise figure evaluations. Assist in defining subsystem specifications and requirements for transmitter, receiver, antennas, and RF front-end components. Contribute to phased array antenna design concepts and beamforming strategies for RPO/CPO applications. Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, and system engineers to ensure payload compatibility. Conduct RF system simulations, including propagation and interference analysis, to support performance validation. Assist in the selection, integration, and testing of RF components in compliance with space environment requirements. Support development of test procedures, calibration routines, and performance verification for the radar system. Document design work and results according to internal engineering standards. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or equivalent. 4–6 years of experience in RF system design, ideally including phased array or radar systems. Experience with radar systems, phased array concepts, and RF signal chains. Experience with RF testing equipment: vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, or signal generators. Knowledge of space environment constraints, radiation effects, and component qualification principles. Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or equivalent tools for RF modeling and simulation. Intermediate systems engineering experience, including requirement management and interface coordination. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Exposure to RPO/CPO or space situational awareness systems. Familiarity with phased array antenna calibration or testing. Understanding of ECSS standards or space payload development processes. KEY COMPETENCIES Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Good technical communication for reporting and documentation. WHAT WE OFFER Permanent contract, CCNL (National Collective Labour Contract) Telecommunications Ownership of critical systems from early design to flight qualification Access to lab hardware for integration, with direct interface to avionics and robotics A chance to shape the future of autonomous space robotics operations #J-18808-Ljbffr
