Cyber Threat & Incident Response Consultant – Rome, ItalyResponsibilities Contribute to the evolution of next‑generation cyber security operations by protecting complex digital ecosystems against advanced and rapidly evolving threats.Leverage AI‑driven technologies, automation, threat intelligence, and advanced analytics to strengthen detection and response capabilities across cloud‑native and enterprise infrastructures.Conduct proactive threat analysis, incident investigation and response, and manage attack surface and exposure.Continuously improve security policies, detection rules, and response playbooks.Support the design of intelligent, resilient, and data‑driven security models capable of anticipating cyber risks and accelerating response strategies.Work with advanced SIEM and XDR platforms, Threat Intelligence solutions, OSINT frameworks, digital forensics technologies, and AI‑powered security analytics tools.Collaborate with IT and SOC teams, blue and red teams, external partners, vendors, and intelligence‑sharing communities to enhance overall resilience. Qualifications Academic background: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. A thesis focused on AI‑driven approaches or the application of Artificial Intelligence to cybersecurity topics is a plus.Professional experience: 1‑3 years in a similar role, ideally within a SOC or CSIRT, with a strong understanding of incident detection and response techniques.Hands‑on experience with SIEM and XDR platforms for threat analysis and mitigation.Familiarity with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages to enhance security workflows.Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence for feasibility studies and solution scouting is considered a strong plus.Certifications (nice to have): GCFA, GCIH, CYSA+, BTL1, BTL2, SC‑200, etc.Soft skills: Effective communication, collaborative mindset, commitment to innovation and continuous learning.
