Manufacturing Engineer – CAM Specialist At Baker Hughes, you will play a key role in developing and optimizing CNC machining processes through advanced CAM programming. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure manufacturability, improve cycle times, and maintain the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize CAM programs for complex turbomachinery components using advanced CAD/CAM software Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and process robustness Define machining strategies and select cutting tools to improve productivity and reduce costs Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing Analyze machining performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives Maintain and update process documentation, including setup sheets and tool lists Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to production teams Evaluate and integrate new CAM technologies and software capabilities Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Act as a technical reference for CAM‑related topics within the Manufacturing Engineering team Fuel Your Passion Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical background Proven experience in CAM programming for multi‑axis CNC machines (e.g., 5‑axis milling, mill‑turn) Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam, or similar) Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently Fluent in English and Italian Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus Work in a way that works for you Flexible working hours – flex the times when you work during the day to fit everything in and work when you are the most productive Smart working opportunities Equal Opportunity Employer Baker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
