Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) Engineer – Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem (AOCS) Key duties: Derivation of the pointing requirements from the System specification Requirements allocation to the GNC functions, sensors and actuators. Definition of the AOCS architecture (configuration, operative mode logic). Definition and development of the GNC algorithms. Perform stability and robustness analysis of the controller Production of technical documentation: Design Report, Pointing Budget, Performance Analysis and Evaluation Report, contribution to other AOCS and System budgets Development of GNC simulator in Matlab, Simulink environment Skills, experience and qualifications required At least 1 year of technical knowledge in the following areas: Guidance Navigation and Control discipline Automatic Control Theory with focus on digital innovative controls (MPC, H¥, Robust control) Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem architecture Flight Dynamics AOCS sensors and actuators Mission analysis (Orbital definitions) Space environment Matlab, Simulink, “C” and “C++” programming language Required Engineering Master Degree in Aerospace or Electronics engineering, or Physics Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package Good attitude towards analysis, synthesis and problem solving Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written) Good Knowledge of Italian is appreciated Available to work in shifts if requested by the program Good attitude towards teaming and multi-disciplinary approaches.
