This position reports to the VP Harvesting Platform Engineering and will serve in a team of engineers responsible for Combines development at AGCO's Breganze (Italy) Site and among all Headers sites. The person will lead and is responsible globally for platform development with the technical team and cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, etc.). The job holder leads and coordinates global module teams, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to manage in a matrix organization, following and monitoring development activity. Leadership skills are required for this position, leading the engineering team to deliver new features and solve problems. The candidate will strongly influence the strategic roadmap of product development and serve as a key interface between the involved functions. Additionally, solving non‑expected and critical problems generates enormous added value for the whole organization. The Platform Lead Engineer must possess strong project‑management skills, being accountable for NPI activities and responsible for achieving the QCT target. Teamwork skills are required as the employee will work in teams both on site and across other AGCO sites. Your Impact Leads/coordinates and owns platform development activities, drives module‑specific innovation, and ensures best cost together with Purchasing and Manufacturing counterpart. Responsible for delivering NPI projects at defined quality target and product maintenance, and has good skills in working with one or more ERP systems (i.e., SAP, BAAN, JDE) and strong technical knowledge. Planned projects according to AGCO's procedures called AMPIP and collaborates across AGCO sites for all functions involved in the AMPIP process; participates in meetings for planning, idea generation, design review, and future optimization with respect to cost, performance, weight, and durability. Defines project objectives and collaborates within the strategic engineering roadmap, manages comprehensive project requirements, and solves non‑expected and complex problems. Keeps within development cost budgets and time schedules, defines and monitors project budget evolution, achieves project objectives, and works toward quality and innovation goals. Demonstrates interest in innovative technologies, is highly motivated in solving problems, works well in a team, and is strong, assertive, and resilient as a project manager. Your Experience and Qualification Bachelor's degree in mechanical or agricultural engineering. +5 years of professional experience. Excellent English language and writing ability; excellent people and leadership skills. Proficiency in Creo, MS Package, etc. Travel required: 25%.
