Licensed Tour Guides – Rome, Lazio, Italy Freelance Collaboration | Flexible Schedule | Premium Clients A premium travel company based in Paris and expanding across Europe is currently looking for passionate licensed tour guides to join its growing Rome team and help deliver elegant, seamless, and culturally rich experiences for international travelers. Licensed Tour Guides with Passion for People and Rome We’re seeking charismatic guides who are natural storytellers—professionals who connect effortlessly with guests and bring depth, warmth, personality, and professionalism to every experience. You might be a fit if you: Hold a valid Italian tour guide license or authorization to guide professionally in Italy Are confident, engaging, and knowledgeable Have a background in history, art history, archaeology, architecture, theatre, or similar Are fluent in English (additional languages are highly appreciated) Have excellent guest feedback—or are ready to build it Categories You Can Apply For Applicants are welcome to apply for one or multiple categories depending on their experience, languages, specialties, and guiding style. A) Family & Kid-Friendly Experiences Fun, engaging, and educational tours designed for families and younger travelers. B) Language-Based Tours You must be fluent in at least one of the following: English, French, Spanish, Russian, German, Italian, or Chinese. Additional languages are highly appreciated. C) Classic Rome Experiences Ancient Rome, Vatican areas, Baroque Rome, hidden neighborhoods, food districts, and more. Fluency in English or Italian is required. Additional languages are a plus. Freelance Collaboration This position is offered as a freelance collaboration. Candidates should be legally able to invoice for their services in Italy or within the EU. A Partita IVA or equivalent freelance/company registration is preferred. Please note: applicants for guide positions must hold the appropriate Italian tour guide license or legal authorization required to professionally lead guided tours and provide cultural or historical interpretation in Rome and protected heritage sites where applicable. Recruitment Process Selected candidates will be invited to a 30-minute introductory interview to discuss their background, communication style, guest approach, and onboarding process.
